Show'em What'cha Got!

The 2015 Grammy's had a lot of surprises. But the best one came from music legend Prince. The crowd stood their feet as Prince with cane in hand approached the mic. The category he presents for...Album Of The Year. Prince calms the crowd with these words, "Albums...remember those? Albums, still matter. Like books and Black lives, albums still matter.”  2014 reported an increase in the production of vinyl and that news has spread to turntable manufacturers.

I can remember hearing the recording of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince Live at Union Square. It's a lot of you out there who may not know of this recording, but I'll place the YouTube link at the end of this blog. This recording was one of the earliest recordings of the DJ showing that the turntables are more than pieces of equipment that spins wax, but instruments that are no different than a set of drums at a live show. I applaud the Trick DJs! I salute the Mix Show and Mixtape DJs!

There's a new edition to the Mac Attack blog ‘DJ Live’. This is where DJs show what they can do. DJs wanting to get both their own tracks and their mixes out to the public, will be shown on Mac Attack’s DJ Live. No need to worry about your mixes being removed or overlooked.

New and current fans can experience the new underground…LIVE! Listen to DJ remixes that you've never heard before. Hear artists that you've never heard before, before they even get to the point of being blogged or being on the Mac Attack. 😃 Welcome to a new promotional mechanism.

Many of my DJ friends have expressed their irritation with digital streaming companies removing their mixes for containing copyright material. Not on DJ Live. This is just another way for us to be seen and heard without industry politics. So without further ado I invite DJs to show and prove your skills… Show'em What'cha Got!
